Why Choose Network in Action (NIA) to Grow Your Personal Economy?

Introduction: Networking with Strategy for a Stronger Personal Economy

In the world of small business ownership and entrepreneurial hustle, time and trust are two of your most valuable currencies. The ability to build genuine relationships while growing your Personal Economy hinges on how wisely you network.

Network in Action (NIA) stands out as a strategic and ROI-driven way to enhance your business ecosystem. Whether you’re a solopreneur, franchise owner, service provider, consultant, or in the Trades, NIA gives you the systems, structure, and support to grow strategic connections and recurring revenue—without wasting hours every week in outdated networking formats.

Let’s break down the top reasons business owners are switching to NIA—and thriving.

Monthly Mastermind Meetings: Save Time & Maximize Impact

Time is money—and with NIA’s monthly meeting format, you save approximately 80 hours per year compared to weekly group obligations.

Imagine reinvesting those hours into:

  • Client delivery
  • Prospecting & lead nurture
  • Follow-up 1:1 meetings that develop fellow members into thoughtful referral partners

The time savings alone directly supports your Personal Economy—more availability = more opportunity.

Network in Action Memphis/Virtual has three groups from which you can choose. Which one works best for your schedule and business needs?

  • NIA TN Vision Builders – Meets 2nd Tuesdays from 3-4:30 pm at 6075 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, TN. This is a conversational meeting in which members meet monthly and purpose to be powerful referral partners to one another.
  • NIAX Memphis – Meets 2nd Wednesdays from 3-4:30 pm at 9102 Poplar Pike in Germantown, TN. This group is especially useful for industries that may miss more meetings due to work demands. We have tools to help overcome that issue.
  • NIA Visionaries (Online) – Meets 2nd Thursdays from 11:30-1 pm Central on Zoom. This group is a conversational meeting with 10-minute breakouts to help business that can serve clients anywhere create more powerful referral partners.
ROI Guarantee: Measurable Results, Not Just Networking

One of the most innovative aspects of NIA is its Return on Investment Guarantee. Based on your business type, pricing model, and client value, your membership is backed by a results-oriented promise. The only thing required to keep that ROI guarantee in good working order is to attend 11 of the 12 monthly meetings (or send a Sub), AND pass 12 good-fit referrals to some of the other NIA members. You’ll find yourself receiving great introductions that deliver on the ROI Guarantee.

Most networking groups hope you’ll get value. NIA guarantees it. What is your ROI Guarantee?

Professional Vetting for Trusted Referrals

Every NIA member is background-checked and professionally vetted, similar to that of a new insurance producer. That means you can refer with confidence, and others will trust you more quickly. We are also checking for clean social media and good reviews. Everyone might have had to deal with bad comments at some point. We are looking for professionalism and accountability. This leads to:

  • Faster, more valuable introductions
  • Less time filtering through flaky connections
  • Long-term relationships grounded in integrity
Professionally Led Groups = More Focus, Less Admin

Tired of being ‘voluntold’ to lead your networking group—with no discount? In NIA, every group, the owner/franchisee or a paid professional leader manages the meeting, fosters engagement, and helps grow the group. The owner could engage someone to be a back-up person or 2nd leader in the room. It won’t be a volunteer position though.

Want to volunteer? Great! But it’s your choice, not a requirement. Some members ask to put together socials or to organize the next philanthropy project. It also is common that members ask to help vet prospects by being introduced early to prospects.

Powerful Networking Technology

Each member receives access to the NIA member portal and phone app, providing streamlined member interactions, easy referral sharing, and ongoing tracking of meetings, referrals, and introductions. The NIA app also makes it quick and easy to get more 5-star reviews!

Imagine being in another B2B forum like a Chamber meeting, and pulling out your phone to use the NIA app to introduce that person to one of your fellow members. You choose the member name in the pick-list, key in the name, email, and phone of the person with whom you are talking, and add a quick few words as to why you thought they should meet. When you hit Send, both people get a text and an email, and the introduction is tracked in the NIA data. That makes you look Great as a Giver.

Now, all the other member has to do later on is go in, find that record as one of the received referrals, and indicate that it turned into paid business worth $$$. That makes you look at at being Efficient and Effective!

Tech-Powered Tools (App, CRM, Training, & More!)

NIA is a Technology business that specializes in Business Networking. Your membership includes access to the NIA Member Portal and phone app to:

  • Track referrals & follow-ups
  • Post comments or questions to the other members
  • Record intros and meetings
  • Request and send 5-star reviews

The app is perfect for streamlining communication and optimizing your networking productivity.

Over $20K in Business Growth Tools & Training

NIA members get access to professional development, marketing training, business tools, and consulting resources valued over $30,000. Many of the training and continuous learning assets can also be shared with your employees or VA team—adding scalable value to your Personal Economy.

Currently, one of the NIA members represents a non-profit that serves and mentors Single Moms who have never experienced good, healthy motherhood themselves. This organization is able to use the NIA University modules and PDFs to equip their employees and Moms so those Moms can develop value knowledge that can help with employment or entrepreneurship.

Interactive and Engaging Meetings

Not another boring business card exchange—NIA meetings are structured for:

  • Creative problem solving as a group learning exercise
  • Mini-mastermind breakouts
  • Strategy sessions
  • Laughter and learning

Some meetings earn the label “$2K Agenda”, designed to generate at least $2,000 in value per session. Expect that out of the 12 months of the year, at least 8 to 10 of the meetings will have a $2K Agenda.

This kind of engaged, experiential format builds trust fast—and trust equals business.

Community and Philanthropic Projects

Many groups talk about giving back—NIA does it.

From philanthropic projects to small business spotlights, members have the option to collaborate on causes they care about. This makes networking feel purposeful and amplifies the culture of generosity.

How to Get the Most Out of Your NIA Membership:

Here are some steps you can take to make the most out of your NIA Membership. Do not be overwhelmed! Make steady progress and work through the list. It is a great idea to update profiles and review your progress regularly, maybe twice a year.

1. Clarify Your Ideal Connections

  • Action: Clearly define your perfect client and ideal referral partner.
  • Tip: Create a concise, sharable document (or digital profile) describing your ideal client, your perfect introduction, and a few sample target companies. Some of the NIA members use the Networking Resume template to hold this information for easy distribution.

2. Build Your NIA Member Dashboard

  • Action: Create a spreadsheet with columns: First Name, Last Name, Email, Cell, LinkedIn, Facebook, Ideal Intro, Last 1-to-1 date.
  • Tip: Regularly update and review to prioritize member relationships effectively. Keep in mind that NIA also provides each member with a free CRM and two promotional videos. The NIA Leader will help you with all of this too. Book a Meeting now!

3. Commit to One-to-One Conversations

  • Action: Schedule 15-20 minute phone or Zoom calls with each NIA member within your first 90 days. It is okay to agree to a longer coffee meet-up too!
  • Tip: Focus on understanding their business deeply: ideal clients, referral partners, and preferred intros. Plan to meet again on a regular basis to regularly bless each other with thoughtful referrals.

4. Understand Their BANK Code

  • Action: NIA leverages the Codebreaker BANK codes to facilitate good communication. Someone’s code will start with Blueprint, Action, Nurture, or Knowledge.
  • Tip: Before meeting a new member, look them up in the NIA portal and on social media. Be Interested in them First! (When you add a member’s contact info into your phone, add the BANK code too!) Get your own report with https://crackmycode.com/breakmycode

5. Connect & Engage on Social Media

  • Action: Immediately connect with every NIA member on LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Tip: Send personal messages thanking them for the connection and regularly engage with their content to foster deeper relationships. It is okay to give a shout out in the NIA group chat to request that others Like and Comment on a particular post.

6. Consistent Follow-Up

  • Action: After each monthly meeting, send a short, thoughtful text or email to at least five members you interacted with.
  • Tip: Include a personal detail from your conversation to strengthen the relationship. Make sure every member is in your phone to foster relationship building.

7. Strategically Give First

  • Action: Make it your mission to make meaningful introductions for every member in your group, even indirect ones.
  • Tip: Aim to introduce each member to someone who could help their business, demonstrating your genuine commitment to the ‘Go-Giver’ philosophy. Better yet, read “Give and Take” by Adam Grant to create a sustainable approach to being an effective Giver.

8. Celebrate Members Personally

  • Action: Record birthdays and business anniversaries, sending personalized messages or cards to strengthen bonds.
  • Tip: Include a note recalling a positive interaction or achievement. Add your fellow members’ birthdays into your phone too. It is okay to announce your own events or accomplishments. Your fellow members want to celebrate with you too!

9. Organize Small Group Meetups

  • Action: Invite small groups of 3-5 members for lunch, coffee, or virtual chats.
  • Tip: Facilitate strategic introductions and brainstorm ways everyone can support each other’s businesses. Keep it mixed up too. People hate it when cliques form in networking groups.

10. Leverage NIA’s Technology

  • Action: Fully utilize the NIA app for making and tracking introductions, meeting attendance, and referrals.
  • Tip: Regularly update your profile, and promptly acknowledge introductions and referrals to keep connections strong. It is always a good idea to keep all your social media and Google My Business pages refreshed regularly. Regular edits give the SEO a boost!

11. Prepare Engaging Introductions

  • Action: Prepare memorable 30-60 second introductions for meetings.
  • Tip: Consider a creative approach—like a quick story, interesting fact, or even a short rhyme or rap—to stand out and remain memorable. Change it up. Elevator pitches get old really fast!

12. Regularly Review & Renew Your Strategy

  • Action: Regularly assess how well your NIA membership is aligning with your business goals. Adjust your referral goals, networking strategies, and ideal connection lists accordingly.
  • Tip: Be proactive in renewing and adjusting your membership approach. Brainstorm with other members and/or with the NIA leader to get other ideas as well.

13. Set Clear, Measurable Networking Goals

  • Action: Establish monthly goals around giving and receiving referrals.
  • Tip: Track these consistently using your dashboard or CRM tool to measure your success and areas for improvement. Gamify the goals and reward yourself for reaching them.

14. Become a Group Influencer

  • Action: Share valuable business growth resources with the group, engage with training sessions, and volunteer occasionally to present insights from your business expertise.
  • Tip: Offering high-value information positions you as a trusted expert and influencer within the group. We can all help each other grow and learn.

15. Continuously Improve Your Networking Skills

  • Action: Attend additional NIA trainings and educational sessions. Listen to recommended podcasts and webinars to enhance your networking effectiveness.
  • Tip: Invest in your networking education consistently to maximize results. Teaching what you have learned to others is a great way to cement that knowledge for yourself!
